Shopaholics-not-so-anonymous

I’ll just go out there and say it, My name is Alessa Careless and i am a shopaholic….just like practically every girl out here right? Well, this week we’re diving in the heart of the shopping districts to see how SL as a whole fares on this really important issue! (okay not THAT important but geez can you drop it I’m curious!).

1- Do you consider yourself a SL shopaholic?

a. Alexandria Upshaw: no, i actually rarely shop, but my sister is definitely a shopaholic

b. Bessy Burns: umm i wouldnt say i was a shopaholic, no

c. Moonaco Porta: It is my work on sl to be. So yes I am

d. danni Reggiane: yes

e. Emily Darrow: I don't know if I'm can be classified as a shopaholic. I’m way beyond that.

Emily Darrow: I could wear 4 outfits a day for 2 years and still not wear everything I have

2- How do you fund your habit? In game job? From real life money?

a. Alexandria Upshaw: i used to be a stripper lol, but now i buy lindens someimes, and sometimes people in my family just give me linden

b. Bessy Burns: i have a dancing job and the tips are good hehe

c. Moonaco Porta: I have my own budget from rl for leasures

d. danni Reggiane: rich boyfriends

e. Emily Darrow: I build sims. Mostly for RL companies. Did a build for NesQuik

3- How much would you think you spend in game per week out shopping?

a. Alexandria Upshaw: i would say under 1000, i think i've spent only 300 this week, but i'm about to go buy shoes

b. Bessy Burns: i dont know.. i go thru periods of never buying anything, then i have a massive spree. maybe 500L a week if i broke it down

c. Moonaco Porta: I would say about 30K. But Alessa, this is my work.

d. danni Reggiane: 1000

e. Emily Darrow: oh I don't know maybe 10 to 20k

4- What type of item would you say is your biggest cash sink?

a. Alexandria Upshaw: well, right now its shoes

b. Bessy Burns: dresses mostly hehe

c. Moonaco Porta: None, I go with new releases and quality.

d. Danni Reggiane: clothes mostly.

e. Emily Darrow: I like gothic gowns like this. gothic lolita style.

5- Who’s your favorite content creator and why?

a. Alexandria Upshaw: i shop at alot of places, but just looking through my inventory, i do have alot of things from Nyte'N'Day

b. Bessy Burns: i shop at artilleri LOADS. i just love the style.. its unique but not too weird lol . And theres a hint of retro

c. Moonaco Porta: None, I prefer mix and matching different designer’s creations.

d. danni Reggiane: uk couture

e. Emily Darrow: Nonna Hedges. She makes some of the most amazing gowns in SL. I would concider her the best dress designer in SL

6- Do these pants make my butt look big?

a. Alexandria Upshaw: no, not at all, your butt looks great ^^

b. Bessy Burns: no, your big butt makes your big butt look big. haha im joking :)

c. Moonaco Porta: It’s not your pants. It’s your shape and the lines of your shirt that isin’t helping. But I know some people who loves that. LOL!

d. danni Reggiane: yes

e. Emily Darrow: you have a butt?

There you have it guys and gals and others! We learned a lot today, people REALLY like to shop and i seem to have a big butt ^_^! My personal thanks goes out to every content creators out there who slave day in day out so I can get a new wardrobe every week, something I find lacking in real life!

February's coming to a close and everyone’s coming down from their lovey dovey highs or they crushingly loner’s low. So here at the Metaverse vox-pop (well, it’s just me so…) got to wonder how did the resident’s month of love go?

3- Did you celebrate Valentine ’s Day inworld? If so what did you do?

a)Torrid Luna: Not really I was waiting and searching for presents most of the day.

b)Nivaya Barbosa: Not especially, he bought me some jewelry

c)Subversive Writer: I was going to get her presents and things, but I had just gotten her a present at random, so I never got around to one for an occassion :)

d)Debra Charron: We went dancing at a club we enjoy, then wend to a beach to cuddle and talk

e)Popfuzz Bamboo: i did have soem valentiens fun in world and out of world too

Alessa Careless: aww :) what did you do?

Popfuzz Bamboo: went to a club that i use to go to all the time to see soem old friends it was a blast

2- Why not?

a)Bosco Homewood: SL isn't about being in a couple for me

b)Kii Lilliehook: Yeah, all this partnering stuff seems a little strange to me...

3- So what did you do for valentine’s day then?

a)Kii Lilliehook: guess I missed it...

b)Bosco Homewood: Well, I *am* in an RL couple... so that information is classified

4- What will you do for next Valentine’s day or to improve it?

a)Torrid Luna: I'm not sure, Valentines day isn't so much a thing in germany. But it's fun of course.. ;-)

b)Bosco Homewood: I don't generally plan more than a few days ahead. Life's more fun if it's a series of suprises!

Nivaya Barbosa: Well next year he'll actually BE here for it. So...yeah. :D

5- What’s your opinion on Valentine’s day in Second Life?

a)Torrid Luna: Big media hassle like all fests in SL. But it's nice when you just found someone.

b)Kii Lilliehook: Valentienes day? isn't that just a marketing thing of the florists?

Bosco Homewood: Kii! Such cynicism!

Kii Lilliehook: here in germany it truely is.

Subversive Writer: I try to do romantic things all the time, I don't need a day to show up so that when I happen not to be doing anything on that day I feel bad :)

c)Nivaya Barbosa: Yeah he just does what I tell him. It's fun.

Nivaya Barbosa: Oh or what he said. That was much cuter <3

d)Debra Charron: Actually, I have always enjoyed it. Deb is my alt for roleplay. I've been in SL since mid-2005 on my Main, and have been with the same Partner since christmas 2005...so evidently I enjoy it :-)

e) Popfuzz Bamboo: i think it was fun, i like seeing the cute lingerie lol

What different opinions we have here! I personally think that we need to lose focus over V day’s materialism and focus much more on the love. Yes I said it, the Loooooooooove.

And honestly, I think we, as an advanced race (alien or otherwise :D) can muster up the courage to be romantic with eachother every day of the year right? Why do we need to keep everything inside and explode in a lovey-dovey TNT stick on one day of the year?

Hey everyone! Welcome to the metaverse vox pop, a new blog by Alessa Careless (ME!). In this blog i'll try out a new concept i've cooked up for getting Second Life's pulse. I'll interview random people on different subjects and post my findings here, uncensored and uncut!

Neato isin't it? Well i sure hope so! Anyways, i gotta start preparing some questions and themes for future update and...maybe try and get this blog not looking like ass.
